First, stop saying you're American, becuase a) it makes us look bad and b) it has absolutely nothing to do with whatever point you're trying to make.

Second, judging experience by armor (or rank) is silly.

Third, there are tons of idiots in GW; get over it.

What...the...f***? Active prot isn't an option in high-level areas?! Wow...I guess I must have dreamt about the SEVERAL TIMES I've kept my party alive through VERY TOUGH TIMES in FoW and UW/Tombs without those freakin' mainstream bonds!

Sorry about the lil' explosion there, but I've been getting VERY annoyed with the sudden "need" for bonders that has arised lately...

Since this seems to be drifting into the pvp realm, I thought I'd clear one or two things up before people get the wrong idea.

Your basic tombs bond build uses four skills;
Life bond
Blessed Signet
Mantra of inscriptions
Balthazar's Spirit

Balth's first on yourself, then work on down the list with bond, using MoI and blessed to supply yourself with energy. You'll get to about 5-6 depending on your energy setup. At this point you should have everyone except the monks covered and the gates will have opened. Now I generally wait until the group engages to bond the backline since it shouldn't be an issue to start with, and it'll mean more energy to help out the other one or two monks if they need it. Once you've bonded all eight players then you'll have energy pouring in, and it's up to you and your group what you do with it. I generally run aegis, rof, restore conditions and veil, but there's quite a bit of room to play around here.

Generally your most reliable defense against a spike besides good positioning and interrupting is going to be a good infuser. Active or passive prot can help, but it won't be enough against an experienced spike. They will give the infuser more time to respond though and that can make all the difference.

OK, this thread has had to be edited more than once. It's just name-calling now.
